Considering making the big move to relocate from NJ to FL? Here’s how to do it:
Step 1: Make a list of all of the things you love about your current home in NJ.
Maybe it’s that you have a Target and a Starbucks across the street, or that you love being in a big community close to lots of neighbors.
Step 2: Write down your must-haves and like-to-haves for moving to Florida.
Have you always wanted well-lit sidewalks so you can run early in the morning before the sun gets up (it does get hot down here)? Do you want to be within a certain driving distance from a beach? Are A-rated schools important? Prioritize your list in order of what is a non-negotiable to what you just would like to have.
Step 3: Begin to look at the things you can not change.
If you want to have big stores at your disposal then the Florida Keys might be a little remote. If you have to be near the beach for a post-work day dip in the ocean, then you might want to consider somewhere on the coast. If you need big waves for surfing, then the west coast is not ideal for your lifestyle. Kids already launched? Consider an area without an A-rated school to get more house for your budget. Looking for a more natural experience to grow citrus trees and support bee colonies? Not all gated communities are pesticide-free so you might be better off in an area that has less HOA opportunities and larger plots of land.
Step 4: If you decide that Southeast Florida or Eastern Florida is the place you want to be, contact Michele Barone Homes.
We can look at the rest of your list and help determine which neighborhood in Palm Beach County, Martin County, Broward County, or St. Lucie County will best fit your budget. We can begin to narrow down specific neighborhoods to help find a community of like-minded people that supports your desired lifestyle.
Step 5: Once you find a few neighborhoods that you love with a history of being within your budget, we will find the perfect home for your family.
Your best shot at getting home is to have Michele Barone and her team on your side. Get ready to pack those boxes!
Step 6: Once you move in, we’re still by your side.
You are going to need recommendations for dentists, contractors, hair stylists, coffee shops, and of course that perfect NJ bagel. We will work with you the best we can to find comforts of home to make sure your relocation from NJ to FL is a positive experience.
